How did you come up with the band name?

It goes back to Ducky again. Ducky is a fella in his 50’s that has a home studio in a house on a lake in Medford, MA. [He] is a mentor to a lot of younger musicians. He’s really charismatic and a great guy. His home studio is a lot of fun. Everything he makes just sounds amazing. I think he’s cutting edge of just the way I like records to sound. They invoke all the great old stuff that we like but also the up-to-the-minute-can-compete-with-anybody-else sound. I think he knows how to make things sound really impactful and strong.

 

So we would just sit around in Ducky’s kitchen, drinking epic quantities because Chris and I are big drinkers. Ducky is a legendary drinker. We would write down tons of band names. Roughs I believe was one of Chris’. We all had tons. Pages in a notebook of band names. Naming a band is really hard. I think most band names…… more
